KROKA POLICIES FOR HIRING INTERNATIONAL STAFF
Kroka welcomes talented staff from the United States and abroad to join the community each year. Staff from around the world add to the richness and diversity of our community while bringing specialized skills unique to their country of origin. This page explains what Kroka can and cannot offer to staff coming from outside the United States.

APPLYING FOR WORK
Kroka gives equal consideration to domestic and foreign applicants. If you are seeking employment at Kroka, please visit www.kroka.org and submit an application.
CONTRACTING & VISA APPLICATIONS
Once a staff member is hired, the Business Office will issue a contract. A signed contract is required to begin the visa process. Kroka works with a staffing agency to facilitate the visa process. An agency representative will get in touch with international staff applicants to initiate the process. International staff are subject to the policies of the agency in addition to Kroka hiring policies.
PAYMENT OF FEES
Kroka will pay all fees related to the visa that are incurred in the United States, as well as commissions and fees charged by the staffing agency.
International staff are responsible for all fees incurred in their own country, which may include embassy fees, consulate fees, passport procurement, postage, and travel to the embassy.
TRANSPORTATION TO KROKA
International staff are responsible for the cost of their own airfare to and from Kroka at the start and end of their contract. Staff may fly into Boston's Logan Airport (BOS) or Manchester Airport (MHT). Kroka will provide shuttle transportation to Kroka from MHT or the bus terminal in Concord, NH (frequent transit options from BOS), as well as a return shuttle at the contract conclusion.
Transportation in the United States, aside from travel on Kroka business, is the responsibility of the staff member.
TRAVEL ASSISTANCE STIPEND
Returning staff who are coming from abroad are eligible for a stipend to help with the costs of travel to Kroka. The travel stipend begins at $100 in the second year of employment and increases by $100 in each subsequent year, up to a maximum of $600 per year. The travel stipend will be issued in the form of reimbursement once the staff arrives in the United States.
INSURANCE FOR INTERNATIONAL STAFF
Staff granted visas through the InterExchange program will receive medical and liability insurance coverage from InterExchange for the duration of their employment contract while the staff is in the United States. Other staff not using the InterExchange program should discuss medical care options and benefits with Kroka human resources coordinator.
